For me it is the fact that you can travel to foreign places by going just a few meters or kilometers. Within walking distance, I have two Portuguese shops to buy Bacalao and Pasteis de Nata, a Maroccan baker with delicious sweets, an Italian wine bar and book shop, an Irish butcher, I go just a bit further and I find myself in Istanbul with all sorts of Turkish shops, restaurants and tea houses. Even further and I am in an Asian supermarket or buying fresh Sushi and Sake on a Saturday morning in Tagawa superstore in Ixelles. And all of this exotic travelling I can do without getting into a car or plane, just by walking around for a couple of hours.

Zo lang ik hier woon, ga ik geen auto kopen.
